Cincinnati Summerfair June 2012
The Cincinnati Summerfair was held at the beautiful Coney Island park near downtown Cincinnati. There were 300 artists and reported to be 50,000 people at this three day event. The park setting was beautiful and the artists were of the highest quality...too many jewelers for my taste...but still high quality overall. I was the only abstract painter in the show...that made me nervous at the start because Cinci is reported to be a very conservative community. None the less. I sold well and had many appreciative customers come through my booth. As always, one of the best things about doing these art shows, is meeting many talented and interesting artists. The artist next door to me was Shano. He is an amazing jeweler and an amazing young man. He had a booth full of women all weekend and has one of the most vivacious personalities you'd ever meet. He testament to the fact that you can still make money selling art if you have the right product, the right price, and the right personality. He had the women "eating out of hand" all weekend. Look him up http://shanojewelry.com/ he's one in a million.
