Cincinnati Summerfair

Cincinnati Summerfair June 2012

The Cincinnati Summerfair was held at the beautiful Coney Island park near downtown Cincinnati.  There were 300 artists and reported to be 50,000 people at this three day event.  The park setting was beautiful and the artists were of the highest quality...too many jewelers for my taste...but still high quality overall.  I was the only abstract painter in the show...that made me nervous at the start because Cinci is reported to be a very conservative community.  None the less. I sold well and had many appreciative customers come through my booth.

It was beautiful being set up in a park with trees all around...but...by the end of the show, I was ready to take a chain saw to the little tree right behind my booth.  it always seemed to be in the way.

As always, one of the best things about doing these art shows, is meeting many talented and interesting artists.  The artist next door to me was Shano.  He is an amazing jeweler and an amazing young man.  He had a booth full of women all weekend and has one of the most vivacious personalities you'd ever meet. He testament to the fact that you can still make money selling art if you have the right product, the right price, and the right personality.  He had the women "eating out of hand" all weekend.  Look him up http://shanojewelry.com/ he's one in a million.

Westchester Fine Art Festival

Westchester Fine Art Festival May 2012

This show was a fine art show of the highest quality in the cutest little town of Scarsdale, NY ...just north of NYC.  Scarsdale is a very upscale community just north of the city composed of a cute little downtown surrounded by mansions ans upscale condos.  The show was presented by The Paragone Organization and Bill Kinney.

I was a little worried when I set up because there were several VERY GOOD painters and I felt that the competion for customers was going to be a problem.  Not to worry...I had one of my best shows and sold several large paintings.  I'll definitely be back again next year/

After the show, my wife and I spent two glorious days relaxing and enjoying the NY Finger Lakes area.

Canton National Art Show

Canton National April 2012

Another wonderful art show by the Canton Museum of Art. Curated by Ron Beahn and featuring 70 professional artists from around the country.  This show was once again a show of the highest quality.  The Friday night wine soiree was well attended and filled with appreciative art buyers.
